Common questions

Everything you need to know about creating and using your QR codes.

Is my QR code content private?

Yes. The QR code is generated entirely inside your browser. Ellebyte does not receive or store your links, messages, email details, network names or Wi-Fi passwords.

Which download size should I use?

Use 256 or 512 pixels for websites and digital documents. Choose 1024 pixels for larger printed materials such as posters, packaging and signs.

Why does color contrast matter?

QR scanners need a clear difference between the code and its background. Dark modules on a light background are the most reliable, and this generator warns you when the selected colors are too similar.

What does error correction do?

Error correction allows a QR code to remain readable when part of it is scratched, obscured or printed imperfectly. Medium is suitable for most uses; high is best for demanding printed environments.

Can I add my logo to the QR code?

Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF image and it will be centered on a protected background plate. The generator automatically uses high error correction. Always scan-test the finished code before publishing or printing it.
